The Trilobite evolves

One of our favourite gadgets from last year was the Trilobite robot vacuum cleaner. This nifty device from Electrolux hoovers your floor without you having to do anything (unless you count lifting your feet out of the way as it goes past the sofa you’re sitting on).

Now Electrolux has announced an upgraded version, the Trilobite 2.0. It still uses sensors to feel its way about your floor, but it will now also trundle back to its docking station to plug itself in when it runs out of power. It can also be programmed to clean at certain times, so you can set it to work while you’re out.

But probably its best new feature is that it can now clean the stairs. Well, that would be its best feature if we actually had any stairs. But we live in London and only rich people have two storeys in London. But for everyone else, it’s super.

There’s currently no info on pricing or availability.
