50 Ways to Save Your Water

Consumerreports_watersavers_photo

Whether you pay for your water or not, if you're reading this site, you care about using less. Consumer Reports has a new site out titled 50 Ways to Save Water - most of which involve new thinking, not new spending. For instance: don't rinse your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher. Use leftover water from dehumidifiers or egg boilings to water plants. Don't flush garbage down the toilet when you can put it in the bin. Do spend the £3 to install a low-flow showerhead. Use compost or mulch to increase water retention in the lawn. To find out more, visit the Consumer Reports site. [GT]
