Wippets (good!) animal monitor cleaners

Meritline_1912_424035016

Wippets, wippets good, for cleaning your monitor.  At a measly $4 USD, it's easy to justify picking up one (or several) of these plushy little toys - tools, that is!  Available in turtle, hippo (mysteriously only $3), and cute little fuzzy lamb, this is a rare occasion that you can rationalize buying a stuffed animal with office petty cash, or better still, writing it off against tax. MSI MEGABOOK S262 with pink logo

Msi_s262 I haven't seen the pink version of this MSI Megabook S262 out in the wild, but you should be able to hunt one down out there somewhere. The machine itself has a pretty decent feature list - including the very latest Intel Core Duo processor, as well as a 12.1-inch widescreen and a weight of just 1.95kg, making it very portable. Around £800.

Plug in USB Stewie, get disintegrated

P256041b

At first I thought USB Stewie was another whacked-out USB jumpdrive, but no, it's far more sinister than that.  He speaks.  He shrieks.  He blinks.  He waves his arms menacingly.  He zaps you with his ray-gun.  It all depends on you and your Windows box (no Mac or linux, alas) and what you do that provokes him.  It's all your fault.  Always.  $28 from Urban Outfitters.  [GT]

Ultra-fahbulous ergonomic auto-cooling mouse

Logimouse_2
Dahling, dress all in black, and accessorize with this very cool mouse.  The Ergonomic Cool Fan Mouse comes in black, silver, blue and red, and pretty as it may be, it packs some functional panache: it's an 800dpi optical with a glowing blue LED and a built-in cooling fan and vents on top and side, so your hand stays pleasantly temperate whatever you're doing that might, er, heat it up.   [GT]

Apple Recall on Laptop Batteries

ApplepowerbookOh dear, life hasn't been good for Dell over the past fortnight and it looks like Apple are experiencing similar problems with their laptop batteries. 1.8million laptop batteries are being recalled by Apple following a small number of complaints regarding overheating. The recall affects the iBook G4 and Powerbook G4 sold between October 2003 and August 2006. An Apple spokesman stated, 'Our number one priority is to recall and replace the affected batteries free of charge.'
