Aimulet LA: wireless, solar, audio, bamboo

Aimulet_la

Made of bamboo and entirely solar powered (so there's no nasty battery to dispose of), the Aimulet LA (amulet + i for interactive, intelligence, infrared and ai - that is, love, in Japanese) just picked up the Good Design Ecology 2006 award. You hold it to your ear like a cellphone, and its wireless receiver has uses ranging from being able to give localized messages in museums depending on what exhibit you're approaching, to being able to be a train ticket that tells you when you have to embark.
