Site of the week: Instructables

One of the biggest problems with high tech is that people don't learn anything about how their gear actually works - since it's generally too complicated anyhow. But yesterday, at Instructables, they had a DIY on how to make Magnetic Refrigerator Lights from LEDs that are actually powered by a grid you paint on the fridge itself. There are plenty of opportunities to recycle material in exciting ways at this site, plus you'll actually find yourself learning a thing or two. Plus, if you're really clever, you could do the fridge light DIY with solar power - perhaps using a homemade solar panel.
