Breathing Earth: carbon and population simulation
Ever wondered how global warming and the population explosion is doing right... NOW? Visit Breathing Earth, a site that simulates how much CO2 we're dumping per second, how many people are being born, and the death rate. Unsurprisingly it has the US and China releasing around 12 thousand tonnes per minute each. The UK is, relatively, not so bad, releasing about a thousand tonnes just under one minute. Though when one factors in the size of China compared to the UK, we're really doing more than our share. Makes one feel like checking over the Recycling and Renewables categories here at Hippyshopper. [GT]
