Eye Catcher Videophone

Ec30videophone_edited

At 7500 quid (for one, and presumably you need at least two in the loop), the Eye Catcher Videophone had better be all it claims, and it claims to be so good that "talking to someone using the Eye Catcher is like talking to someone sitting across from you - so why travel?" I don't quite understand the explanation, but the word is that it gives the illusion of true eye contact so completely that the person might as well be there. "This way of communication is especially suited to sell products which need a tailor-made advice, like mortgages or an investment advice at our smaller regional branch office. Smaller offices equipped with an Eye Catcher can provide the same services as our bigger offices." The tech is a few years old now and the price is still high, so it's hard to say how much, if any, penetration it's having; have any of you had any experiences with it? [GT]
