Bombay Bedspread Company: beautiful, ethical, affordable
Let me tell you, the only way the nap I had the last few days (you did miss me, right?) could have been any better is if it'd involved my fathomlessly adorable John and one of these gorgeous, ethically-sourced and bafflingly inexpensive (starting at £21 for a single!) cotton Jali summer bedspreads from the Bombay Bedspread Company. Same pattern available in yellow and blue for £30.00 or lavender and green (also £30.00).
The Bombay Bedspread Company was founded in August 2005 by Raj, originally from Bombay, and Janet from Lancashire. They source ethically from NGOs, weavers' co-ops and small family run businesses. They also support environmentally and socially sound business practices - providing lovely products at excellent prices. [GT]
