People Tree hits the high street
Topshop, part of the Arcadia group, aren't renowned for their ethical policies so it's a jolly nice surprise to read that from tomorrow, their flagship store in Oxford Circus will be stocking a selection of People Tree’s spring/summer clothing.
“Fair Trade Fashion has arrived on the high street this season, and it’s here to stay. People Tree’s concession in Topshop proves that Fair Trade fashion has broken all the stereotypes and is at the cutting edge of fashion retail. It marks the beginning of a big change in the fashion industry, and to the unfair structures that currently have such a detrimental effect on millions of workers.”
Safia Minney, Founder and Director of People Tree
