No lead in Dell's PC pencil
Proof that the EU does get some things right: this is one of the first line of PCs made to comply with an impending law to make lead-free computers. The Dell Optiplex GX620 and 520s (right) are designed for business, but it appears anyone can buy one via Dell's UK website. They've both got a lead-free chassis, power supply and motherboard and come in 4 different but equally hideous black/silver boxes. For maximum green/hippy points, hold onto your existing PC instead or - if you must upgrade - get a secondhand one via eBay. Dell press release.
