Abel & Cole verdict: very able

Abelcole_2So it turns out that Abel & Cole - one of my favourite organic food box schemes -  won the Queen's Sustainable Development award just over a month go. I know, I know, I'm a bit behind the times on this one. Anyhow. If you're not au fait with Abel & Cole, it's a home delivery service for seasonal organic fruit, veg, meat and fish that delivers to London and a good swathe of SE and SW England. Now's a good time of year to start - the boxes are currently filled with lots of salad ingredients, including lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes. If you're an Abel virgin,  there's a recent and very-detailed Guardian primer here. Abel & Cole's website.
