The eco-parent's poo fix
If clothes by Howies and Romp are at the glamorous end of the ethical shopping spectrum, eco nappies are definitely at the opposite end. They are, however, the way to go for green parents trying to raise little Johnny without creating binbags full of unbiodegradable nappies. Even if you do give up and go back to conventional disposables, these new bamboo ones are worth a try simply because they're so (relatively) cheap at £27.50 for 180 minis. They also carry the Nordic Swan label, which means - in theory - they produce less waste to make in the first place.

hi there
Roman soldiers were all issued with a sprig of moss on a stick with which to clean their nether regions. Is there a modern version of this? It seems an ideal solution. Any ideas?
